In preparation for World First Aid Day, Iranian Red Crescent society planned some interesting activities. They will have an educational package for the hearing impaired individuals.  So far, they produced 40 educational videos on first aid and hazard preparedness for the group. They are also preparing educational texts on the topic of common accidents for the hearing impaired and ways to prevent them.

In addition, they designed a new game for children to encourage learning through play. It is the old classic game of ‘‘Snakes and ladders’’ adapted with signs on how to act upon earthquakes The IRCS worked to distribute a leaflet to children with this game. So that children learn what is wrong and what is right during an earthquake. The game was printed in the form of a 2.30m x 2.30m banner enlarging the board so that instead of the marbles, the children move in the house of numbers, which was attractive to them. The IRCS team will take feedback of this Educational game from children, and check if it is suitable for others First aid topics.

This game is available in Persian and English and National Societies can use it for their World First Aid Day activities (you can find it here).
