First Aid

Vision

For a long time, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has reaffirmed its commitment to first aid within the changing context of global health.

First aid is not only about life saving techniques. It is also an act of humanity showing willingness to save lives with full respect of gender and without any discrimination.

The Global First Aid Reference Centre believes that in order to make communities safer and more resilient, first aid needs to be recognised as an integral part of a wider developmental approach. As such first aid training should be accessible to all.

To make this happen, all Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies constantly work providing quality first aid courses and empowering volunteers and communities with the necessary skills to save lives.
