The Global First Aid Reference Centre (GFARC), established in 2012, is a centre of excellence of the IFRC. Its’ goals are to reduce the number of deaths, the severity of injuries, and to make individuals and communities more resilient, through first aid. Its’ documents are translated into 4 languages: English, Arabic, Spanish and French.

The internship takes place in Montrouge, Paris (the headquarters of the French Red Cross), . and is between March and August of eachyear (generally a duration of six months with some flexibility on possible dates).

Objectives of the internship

Develop GFARC’s communication strategy, participate in the organization of events, project management and the translation of documents (medical vocabulary, pedagogy, etc.).

 

 

Missions (non-exhaustive)

  • Elaboration and / or development of media tools (youtube channel, facebook, newsletters …)
  • Participate in the development of the GFARC website (content) and its promotion
  •  Participate and lead the launch of the recruitment campaign for volunteer translators
  •  World First Aid Day (September) + World Resuscitation Day (October): preparation of the resource pack and campaigns
  • Logistical assistance for events
  •  One-off help on partnership requests (contracts, proofreading, etc.)
  • Finalize a project proposal for the search for partnerships
  • Translation of various documents

Requirements

Educational level: BAC +⅘ (A Level) – Master’s degree in communication and / or international relations and / or business school, translation, specialization in marketing – communication.

Languages: Command of syntax and spelling in English and French (minimum level B2). Spanish or Arabic is a plus.
