Privacy policy
1.1. Purpose and scope
The Global First Aid Reference Centre is hosted by the French Red Cross. The French Red Cross (hereinafter “we” or the “FRC”) is concerned about the protection of the privacy of Internet users (hereinafter the “visitors” or “you”) and undertake to ensure the best level of protection of personal data that you entrust to it.
The purpose of this policy is to inform you of the way in which we process your personal data that you provide to us and that we collect in the course of your use of the website of the Global First Aid Reference Center (hereinafter the “site “).
It complies with the applicable data protection regulations in force, and in particular, the General Data Protection Regulations of April 27, 2016 and the Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978 as amended.
This policy applies to the processing of personal data that we carry out on the site.
1.2. Purposes and grounds for processing your personal data
We collect and process personal data about you in order to:
- manage, process and monitor your requests for information and contact and provide you with an answer
- manage your relationship with us regarding your donations, payments and tax receipts
- manage your requests for the exercise of personal data protection rights
- carry out studies, reports and statistics
- comply with our legal and regulatory obligations resulting in particular from our activities.
With regard to the above objectives, the treatments carried out are necessary:
- for the pursuit of our legitimate interests in order to manage your relations with us, process your requests and communicate to you information relating to our actions
- for compliance with our legal and regulatory obligations.
1.3. Categories of personal data collected about you

In the personal data collection forms on our site (request for information or contact us, etc.) you are informed of the mandatory nature of data collection by the presence of a red asterisk. If a required field is missing, we will not be able to process your request.
1.4. Recipients of your personal data
Your personal data is intended for the services and authorized persons by the Global First Aid Reference Centre.
However, your personal data may be communicated to service providers and technical and commercial partners to achieve certain aforementioned purposes on our behalf. As such, it is specified that the latter:
- have limited access to your personal data, only for the performance of their services;
- have a contractual obligation to use them in accordance with our instructions and with the legal provisions on the protection of personal data;
- are likely to be located outside the European Union, in particular in countries that do not ensure an adequate level of data protection. These data transfers are covered by appropriate guarantees, either by adhering to the Privacy Shield or by signing standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission.
In addition, we are likely to communicate some of your data at the request of the judicial, police or administrative authorities legally entitled to know.

1.6. Data security
We are concerned about ensuring the security of your data. As such, we implement the appropriate technical and organizational measures to guarantee a level of security adapted to the risk.
1.7. Your data protection rights
In accordance with applicable data protection regulations, you have a right of access and a right to rectify your data. In certain cases, you have the right to delete, limit the processing and the right to portability of your data. In addition, you can define general guidelines relating to the fate of your personal data and the way in which you wish your rights to be exercised after your death.
