A literature review of potential outcome measures for effective first aid

A literature review of potential outcome measures for effective first aid

The aim of this literature review is to identify and explore possibilities for a global measure of effective first aid education. This work was commissioned by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Global First Aid Reference Centre (GFARC) and was conducted by the research team in the Education Directorate of the British Red Cross. The search approach was not restricted to any specific discipline, date or format in order to provide a broad scope of possibilities. This enabled the review to cover current practice, theoretical backdrops and the insights that can be gained from other professions.
