Guidelines Practices with Saudi Arabia Red Crescent Authority

The GFARC and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) are cooperating this month by scheduling webinars on the implementation of the IFRC first aid and resuscitation education guidelines 2020. The webinars will be held on three days (8th, 22nd and 29th of March 2021) aiming all first aid instructors in Saudi Arabia with a total number of 509 instructors.

At the end of the webinar there was a certificate given to those who attended in order to permit them to continue training, as they are now familiar with the new changes. The instructors were very happy and they sent positive feedback about the webinar and the knowledge in it.

In addition, the GFARC is participating with the SRCA and the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross in a training course to promote to the staff and volunteers of the Arab National Societies the implementation for the new guidelines and the IFAA process. The training will be from the 14th to the 16th of March 2021 for 3 hours every day.

Panelists:

  • Dr Pascal Cassan, MD, Head of Global First Aid Reference Centre, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
  • The SRCA General Secretary
  • H.H. Prince Abdulla AL SAUD General Director of Academic Affairs and Training SRCA
  • The General Secretary of Arabic Red Cross and Red Crescent

Finally, on the 17th of March, the SRCA will launch a virtual campaign about CPR within the frame of the 2020 guidelines in cooperation with the prestigious Dar Al Uloom University in Riyadh. The campaign is composed of six virtual lectures teaching CPR for community members as lay rescuer.
