GFARC supports the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction held on October 13 each year. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of disaster risk reduction around the world. It is also an opportunity to collectively recognize the progress made in disaster risk reduction. Finally, it is an opportunity to learn about the heavy impacts of disasters on low- and middle-income countries and to advocate for more international cooperation in support of developing countries.
