Staff on loan from national Societies & External partners

Distance working

& consultancy

In order to have the necessary means to develop the current projects we have we appeal to you to support the GFARC technically by offering the time of members of your National Societies to work with us on collaborative projects. The Centre welcomes any kind of support National Societies would bring especially in terms of staff.

Distance-working at GFARC: modalities

To encourage international collaboration and diversify our offer, GFARC proposes a new way of supporting its activities which does not require funds, but time and dedication: distance-working by  staff or volunteers coming from  National Societies, in a field of common interest. Tasks and responsibilities are described in a Term of Reference agreed by the distance-worker, the Centre and his/her National Society. In order to work well remotely, the distance-worker will have access to GFARC’s resources and contacts. Generally, time varies from one to three day a week, during one year

Virtual conferences are organised by GFARC to follow progress and provide materials if needed and GFARC commits to provide quick feedback on the work done.

It is important to acknowledge that the work has to take into account various situations and specificities, as GFARC works with the 5 IFRC Zones. The Distance-Worker should be aware that the deliverable won’t be only for her/his National Society, that is why he/she may take contact with different NS and lead a working group.

The top management of the National Society  will need to sign a letter of acceptance to enable the distance-worker a defined schedule. More flexibility can be expected if the proposed distance-worker is a volunteer. In any cases, all the parties shall sign and accept the letter and a Memorandum of Understanding and the Term of Reference.

Please refer to the potential tasks in the “main project” page that might interest you and propose your services for the benefit of our first aid community by sending us your CV and a cover letter. If your profile is suitable to our needs, we will contact you for an interview .
